5 beauty tips for an all day long glow

We'd all love to look fresh-faced from dawn 'til dusk, but juggling kids/homes/work/social lives can take its toll. So here are 5 handy tips to keep you looking bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.

The key to radiant skin? Moisturising! Particularly during harsh winter months and scorching summers, both of which can leave skin as dry as a bone. So, each morning apply a suitable moisturiser to clean skin - anti-ageing, anti-wrinkle, brightening, mattifying, anti-blemish... It'll stop your skin from feeling tight and give you a radiant complexion.

Whether you're planning a quick al fresco lunch or heading out for a breath of fresh air, don't think about leaving the house/office without applying a sunscreen. Apart from returning to your desk looking like a Belisha beacon, you're setting your skin up for sun-induced wrinkles. A simple trick? Apply a BB cream that contains an SPF in the morning. It'll protect your skin and leave you with a smooth, glowing, even-toned complexion. If you go out on a whim, you can apply a sunscreen over your moisturiser. Once back indoors, kill any resulting shine with a smattering of powder.

Even-toned complexion

Don't haphazardly slap on your make up. Start by tapping your T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) with a mattifying wipe that'll soak up any excess sebum. This one's a lifesaver, as we sweat all day. Follow by applying a loose powder, paying attention to any shiny zones. Finish off with a touch of blusher to your cheekbones, working from your temples towards your nose and banish any signs of tiredness by applying a concealer to your eye contours. The result? A uniform, fresh as a daisy complexion!

Touch-up your make up

There's no need to remove stale make up! A quick retouch will do the trick. Start by wiping off any lipstick or gloss and apply a lip balm. Use a cotton bud to remove any bleeding mascara/eyeliner and eye shadow that's sunk into wrinkles. Re-apply a bit of eye shadow and mascara to wake up your eyes, followed by a light coat of mascara to avoid a spidery look.

Zap tired, panda eyes

It's getting near the end of the day and your eyes are showing every exhausting minute. Which is where refreshing concealers and illuminating pens come in handy: packed with light-reflecting ingredients, caffeine and vitamins, they zap dark circles and smooth away crow's feet in a flash.
